This day saw 840 rescue 3 trains in an 8 hr period, this is the second, 1A15 Padd - Penzance Motorail. FGW 47815 literally expired at Newton Abbot with a camshaft fault, 840 was the stand- by loco at Newton Abbot this day and it promptly performed sterling work. July 2000Previous | Index
